2021 Reflection + HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!

In today's episode, we are going to be going over the reflection on 2021. I'm going to go over what my word in 2021 was and just reflect back on that, what happened, and if all of the things that I wanted to happen did happen. Also... drumroll, please... I have a HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT that I'm going to make at the end of this episode, so make sure you stay tuned for the end. Don't just skip over it though because there's a lot of good things that I want to talk about before we get to that, But there is a huge announcement coming and I'm super excited about it.

First I want to say a quick prayer... Lord, I pray that you lift up every single person reading this right now. I pray that you open up our eyes, our minds, our hearts, and our ears to you Lord. Please lead, guide, and direct us through every aspect of our lives. Lord, I pray that you be with every person that was affected by the tornadoes that hit in my town in Kentucky and also the surrounding counties and towns. I pray that you just wrap your arms around every single person that was affected. I pray for healing, strength, hope, and that this community just continues to show so much love and continues to serve each other the way that they have. Lord, even in the times of troubles that we're facing right now, I just wanted to thank you. I cannot thank you enough for your love, for your protection, and for your righteousness Lord. I love you with every ounce of my being. In Jesus' name, Amen.

So let's reflect on 2021...

While I'm reflecting I want you to get a piece of paper out, or you can put it in the notes on your phone, or however you want to do it, but I also want you guys to reflect on 2021 with me. So if you had a word for 2021 write it down. If you had different aspects of your life that you wanted to focus on in 2021, write all of that down while I'm going through this.

So my word for 2021 was growth. I had three different aspects of my life that I wanted to grow in which were my faith, my podcast and making an impact, and then also my trust. So I'm just going to go through each different aspect and reflect on my growth in those aspects in 2021.

Alright, so first is my faith:

I definitely feel like I have grown in my faith in 2021. There have been times throughout this past year that I've just really looked back and thought how crazy it is and how much growth I've experienced in the past few years with my faith. Jesus has literally changed my heart, changed my priorities, and changed every aspect of my life. The things that used to be important to me aren't important to me anymore and the most important things in my life are my walk with God, my faith, letting everyone know how Jesus has changed my life, and my testimony on that so that they may hear it and know about how amazing Jesus is.

The next aspect is my podcast and making an impact:

A couple of days ago I went through my statistics on my podcast and I looked at the dates from January 2021 to December 2021. So all throughout this past year, this podcast has grown by 352.3%. When I saw that I was amazed because throughout this year haven't focused on the number of downloads or how many listeners I've had. I've been focusing more on making an impact and creating content that I know will help you guys with your journey with Christ, spiritual development, learning about the truth of God's words, the teachings of Jesus Christ, doing these bible studies, and all of that. It's insane the growth that I've experienced with this podcast without even really trying to focus on growth in this podcast.

I knew, just like I said at the beginning of 2021, that I wanted to focus on growing my podcast and making an impact. But it wasn't about the followers, or the downloads, or anything like that. It was about growth in making an impact and growth in my content, and making content that I know will help you guys to grow closer to Christ, learn the truth about God's words, the teachings of Jesus, and all of that. So I definitely would say that I grew in the aspect of making an impact with my podcast

The last aspect that I wanted to grow in 2021 is my trust:

Throughout my life, I've had a lot of problems with trust because I put my trust in people that did me wrong. So I really wanted to grow in my trust through every aspect with people and my trust in the Lord. I definitely feel like my trust did grow in 2021. More specifically, my trust in the Lord grew in 2021.

In 2020 I had a really hard time just putting all of my trust in the Lord and I would do it, I would say I trust him completely, I give him control, and it was like a constant thing that I had to do over and over again. I'm not saying that now in 2021 it's so easy for me to trust in him and it's not something that I have to do every single day, but I definitely have grown in my trust in the Lord. I catch myself all the time starting to worry about things and then I just pray to him, I just give it all to him, I just put my trust in him, and I know that he's in complete control. As long as God's will is done I don't have to worry about anything and I don't have to fear anything because he's in complete control, he has my best interests at heart, and he's got me. This was such a struggle for me in 2020. I definitely have felt that growth this year in 2021 that it has been a lot easier for me to put my trust in the Lord because I know that he's got me and that everything is going to be okay if I just trust him.

There have been so many things that I have done in 2021 that I would not have done without putting my trust in the Lord. I have came out of my comfort zone, I have done things that I was afraid to do in the past, even just going into the grocery store by myself for driving by myself, things that my anxiety started keeping me from throughout the years. If you listened to my episode on anxiety, you know that years ago I lost my job due to anxiety and I had to pull off on the side of the road because I was having a panic attack. After that happened, driving was something that was very difficult for me to do because of that experience. A lot of things that my anxiety was holding me back from I was able to do this year because I put my trust in the Lord, I knew that he's got me, and I don't have anything to worry about when my hope and my trust is in the Lord.

So if you haven't already, take a few minutes to reflect on your word for 2021 or how 2021 went for you. If you did the word for 2021 and the different aspects, then reflect on that, if not then just write down some ways that you grew in 2021. It's okay if you had a really hard year and you didn't grow much or you didn't see much growth. It's okay if things didn't go your way this year because every day is a new opportunity for growth and every day is a new opportunity to start over. We can start now with our growth and with making changes. So if you go through your reflection and you notice that 2021 just wasn't your year, that's perfectly fine. We can release that negative and look forward to 2022 or just look forward to making today a better day and every day a better day and walking closer with Christ. When we walk closer with Christ things get better, our life changes, our priority changes, and everything in our lives change for the better.

Now without further ado I'm going to go into my huge announcement that I am so excited for:

Some of you may know that I have been working on this for a while now, but very soon my 90-day journal for transformation of the mind, heart, and spirit of the Christian woman is going to be available for purchase. I don't have an exact date but if you want to be one of the first to know as soon as it's available for purchase, go to www.faithfuelsmyfire.com/journal and get on the list. You'll just put in your name and your email address and you'll be on that list to be one of the first to know as soon as the journal is available for purchase. Also, once you're on that list, you'll have an opportunity to get an exclusive discount code that's only available for people on the list.

So I want to talk a little bit about this journal, this 90-day journal that I created for the Christian woman to have transformation of the heart, mind, and spirit. I wanted to create a journal where you could not only write down your thoughts and your prayers, but also that just takes us through a transformation of our heart, mind, and spirit.

For each day of this journal, there's gonna be two pages. The first page is going to have a devotional of the day where I go over a specific verse or a few different verses in-depth, and then also there's going to be a prayer for the day, a place where you can put your prayer requests, and where you can put what you're thankful for. So that's all going to be on the first page. The second page of those days are going to be journal pages. I wanted to switch it up for the journal pages because I know personally for me, I don't always like to have free writes and I don't always like to have a bunch of questions every day, but to switch it up. So some of the days there will be questions regarding the devotional of that day where you're prompted to go into scripture or just really reflect on that devotional and there's going to be specific questions on that. There'll be some days where there's just one question and then a spot where you can journal down your thoughts, and then there's also going to be days where you just have a free write where you can write down whatever is on your mind.

This journal goes over so many different aspects and so many different things through these 90 days and I know that if you go through each day throughout those 90 days in that journal you will experience a transformation of your heart, mind, and spirit and you will experience so much spiritual growth. I have read several devotionals, did prayer journals, and different spiritual journals and I have yet to find one that does all in one where I can just have that one specific journal for everything. Now of course I still always am going to include the Bible with any type of journal. I'm going to still have bible study and all of that on top of the devotionals for the day, but usually, I have at least two different journals or devotionals that I do each day to really be able to get the full effect that I want to, to do my daily spiritual development. So when I was creating this journal, I really wanted to make sure that it was an all in one journal where it had the spots for gratitude, and the prayer requests, the prayers for the day, the daily devotionals, the blank spaces for journaling, and also questions to prompt looking further into the Bible or just reflecting more on the daily devotional.

As I've been creating this journal, I've also been going through and doing the journal on my own and I have seen so much transformation. It's crazy because I was a little hesitant doing my own journal of how I actually would experience any type of transformation because I'm my own worst critic. But I know that a lot of you guys listening to this are just like me, you want to grow more in your faith, get closer to Christ, learn about the truth of God's words, the teachings of Jesus Christ, and rest your soul in Jesus, and experience that transformation through Jesus and through your walk with God. So this is something that I've really put my heart and my soul into and it's taken me a while because I wanted to make sure that it would truly make an impact in your life and help you to transform in your heart, mind, and spirit and in your walk with God.

So again, if you want to get on that list to know as soon as it's available for purchase, go to www.faithfuelsmyfire.com/journal to get on that list.

I love you guys so much.

Never forget to choose faith over fear.
