Where Does Our Peace Come From? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 4 of 90.

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 4 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 87 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 4 Scripture:

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." -John 14:27

Day 4 Devotional:

"This is what Jesus said to His disciples when He knew that it was almost time for His crucifixion. In the verse right before this one, He tells them that God the Father will send the Holy Spirit to teach them and remind them of the things that He said to them. The peace that Christ gives us is unlike any other peace. This peace cannot be attained by worldly things. We have to stand firm in our faith and rely on the Holy Spirit to guide us and show us the truth, then we will be able to attain a true inner peace that only comes from Christ."

So in this world, we can get temporary peace. We can get temporary peace from drugs and alcohol, food, taking a walk, etc. The true inner peace that Jesus provides is unlike anything else, it is true everlasting peace. Whenever we get that true peace from Jesus, it's not like any temporary peace that comes from this world. He says "I do not give to you as the world gives." He gives us true inner peace and God the Father gave us the Holy Spirit. Whenever Jesus went back to heaven the Holy Spirit came down to counsel and guide us and we have the fruit of the Spirit in us. One aspect of the fruit of the Spirit is peace

I do have this journal available for purchase on Amazon if you want to go and grab one:

To Purchase women's journal click here To Purchase neutral journal click here

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Lord please fill me with Your peace and give me the courage to do all that You've called me to do. Help me to rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance and open up my eyes to see the truth that You are speaking in my life. Amen."

The questions for today:

What am I afraid of?

What makes me afraid of those things?

Based on scripture, where does my peace come from?

How can I attain true inner peace from Christ Jesus?

"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and self-discipline." -2 Timothy 1:7

So that is it for today's episode. I will be back tomorrow for day five, so make sure you stay tuned for that.

I love you guys so much.

Never forget to choose faith over fear.
