Does the LORD Watch Over Us? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 38 of 90.

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 38 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 52 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 38 Scripture:

"For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish."

-Psalm 1:6

Day 38 Devotional:

"When we are seeking God's glory and His kingdom, and leaning on Him through every aspect of our lives, then He watches over us and protects us. On the other hand, if we live our lives and follow the evil inclinations of wicked and worldly things, then that leads to destruction. It's important for us to always seek God's glory and stand up under temptation. Nothing good comes from wickedness. The world that we live in is full of wickedness and we have to make sure that we are standing firm in our faith and following Christ through every aspect of our lives."

Now this doesn't mean that we are going to do everything perfect and that we will never sin. There will be times when we will give in to temptation and fall into sin. We are all humans and make mistakes, but when we do fall into temptation it's very important for us to repent and truly seek to change our ways. Whenever someone doesn't know Jesus Christ and they don't know God, then of course they are going to be living their lives full of sin and give into their flesh, and worldly desires, and do whatever they want. When we become disciples of Jesus Christ and we truly believe in Jesus, we want to live and have a heart like Him. We desire to obey the commands of God, and the things that we used to desire will no longer be desires for us, our priorities change, and He changes us for the better. God always watches over His people and He will protect us, guide us, and give us strength and everything that we need, but we have to make sure that we are standing firm in our faith and following Jesus Christ through every aspect of our lives.

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Lord thank You for always watching over me and protecting my family and me. Please give me the strength to stand up under temptation and always stand firm in my faith. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Today's journal question:

Have I been leaning on God through every aspect of my life?

Take some time to journal and reflect

"But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one." -2 Thessalonians 3:3
