In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 31 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 59 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.
Day 31 Scripture:
"In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps." -Proverbs 16:9
Day 31 Devotional:
"You are responsible for staying faithful to the calling that God has placed on your heart. Once you decide to go on the path to fulfilling your purpose, ask God to guide you every step of the way. We are all human. We all make mistakes and we fail from time to time. It is important to let God guide and direct us every step of the way to success and to fulfill the purpose that He has for us. It is impossible for us to stay faithful to our God-led calling without relying on Him for direction and strength. When we stumble or steer off the right path, God will always help us and steer us in the right direction if we ask Him."
So there have been a few different days in this journal if you've been keeping up with it, where we talked about the calling that God has placed on your hearts. There was one day when we asked ourselves what is the calling that God has placed on our hearts and if you didn't know what that was, then that day you would've had a prayer with God asking about it. Then we had a day where we went into asking ourselves if we have been staying faithful to the calling that God has placed on our hearts. Now today, we are going to do a little deeper with some struggles, which we will get into that more with the questions for today.
It is so important for us to make sure that we are posturing our hearts towards the LORD and leaning on Him. Whenever we love the LORD with all of our heart, all of our mind, all of our strength, and we are letting the Holy Spirit guide us, then the plans that we have for our lives are going to be in alignment with God's will and His purpose for us. The LORD will make our paths straight and He will determine our steps. He will show us exactly what it is that He wants us to do every step of the way. We have to make sure that we are constantly seeking Him and His guidance so that we don't veer off and try to do things on our own and make an unnecessary detour. We have to make sure that we are staying focused, keeping our hearts towards the LORD, and letting the Holy Spirit guide us every step of the way.
I do have this journal available for purchase on Amazon if you want to go and grab one:
So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.
Today’s Prayer:
"Thank You, Lord, for Your guidance and strength. Please continue to guide me through every step of my life and help me to fulfill the calling that You've placed on my heart. In Jesus' name, Amen."
Today's journal questions:
When it comes to my God-led calling, what have I been struggling with?
Have I been asking God for guidance and direction? Why or why not?
Take some time to pray and journal your thoughts.
"I know, O LORD, that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps." -Jeremiah 10:23
So that is it for today's episode. I will be back tomorrow for day 32, so make sure you stay tuned for that.
I love you guys so much.
