How Can We Find Rest for Our Souls? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 58 of 90

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 58 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 32 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 58 Scripture:

"Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

-Matthew 11:28-29

Day 58 Devotional:

"In these verses here this is what Jesus is saying. So for those of us that feel tired, burdened, and just feel so exhausted, we can come to Jesus and He will give us rest. Jesus is gentle, humble, loving, merciful, and gracious. I just wanted to point out here what He says in verse 29, we have to come to Jesus and we have to learn from Him. We can see all throughout the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John the words of Jesus Christ and His teachings. We can find rest for our souls in Jesus and in His words."

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Thank You, Lord, for Your unconditional love and for Your mercy. I know that when I am tired and exhausted that I can find rest in You, Jesus. I love You with my whole heart. Jesus, it's in Your name that I pray, Amen."
