How Should We Trust in the LORD? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 3 of 90.

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 3 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 88 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 3 Scripture:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." -Proverbs 3:5-6

Day 3 Devotional:

"These verses are so important to remember and live by daily. There will always be things that will happen in our lives that are out of our control and that we don't understand. It's so important for us to let go of the idea that we are in control and trust in the Lord completely. I know that is easier said than done, but God's got us, He has our best interests at heart, and He will never lead us astray. We just have to lean on Him for guidance and knowledge and trust that He has a purpose for us that is bigger than we could ever imagine."

We have to make sure that we are trusting in the LORD completely and not leaning on our own understanding. Our understanding compared to God's understanding is so minuscule. We only understand based on our past experiences and based on what's going on around us. The LORD's understanding is infinite. He understands way more than we could ever understand. His plans and the things that He has for our lives we cannot comprehend. We cannot comprehend His will and that's why it's so important for us to just trust in Him completely and also to acknowledge Him, and submit to Him, and He will make our paths straight. Just like on day 1 when we were talking about praying, we have to make sure that we are in that constant prayer with God, telling Him that we trust in Him, ask Him for guidance, and acknowledge Him through every aspect of our lives and He will make our paths straight. We don't have to worry about understanding everything, we just need to make sure that we are trusting in the LORD because we can trust Him. He loves us, He is our Heavenly Father, and He wants the best for us. His will and His plan for our lives are way greater than we could ever imagine, comprehend, or plan for our own lives.

I do have this journal available for purchase on Amazon if you want to go and grab one:

To Purchase women's journal click here To Purchase neutral journal click here

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Lord, I know that You are in complete control and I put all of my trust in You. You are the Almighty and Your plans for me are bigger than I could ever fathom. Please guide me through every aspect of my life and through the paths that You have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen."

The question for today:

What is going on in my life right now that I don't understand and/or can't control?

Take a few minutes to pray about it through journaling. Then release it all to God and start trusting in Him completely.

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song." -Psalm 28:7

So that is it for today's episode. I will be back tomorrow for day four, so make sure you stay tuned for that.

I love you guys so much.
