How to Be Content No Matter the Circumstances. Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 22 of 90.

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 22 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 68 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 22 Scripture:

"I can do everything through him who gives me strength." -Philippians 4:13

Day 22 Devotional:

"This is one of my favorite Bible verses and one that I remind myself of daily, but I started looking at this verse differently when I really read and studied all of Philippians 4. I always thought this verse was just about strength, but really it's about contentment, and being content no matter the circumstances. Paul wrote the book of Philippians while in prison for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the verse right above this one, Paul says that he has learned the secret of being content in any circumstance, which is knowing that we can do everything through Christ who gives us strength. We can do and overcome anything with the strength of Christ. In this world we will face hardships, but Christ has overcome the world. Anytime we feel weak or alone we can pray and ask for strength and the Lord will provide it."

If you have some time today, I highly recommend you reading all of chapter 4 of the book of Philippians and really just pray and sit on those verses. I know you've probably heard verse 13 a million times and seen it plastered everywhere, but whenever we really dig deep into Philippians chapter 4 and we understand that that this verse is not just about strength but it's about contentment, it helps us to see this verse and the way that we get strength in a whole different light. If we just sit and we are content in our situation, even though we may be struggling, going through hardships, or there may just be things going on that we can't control, but if we really just take the time to think that Christ gives us strength to do all things then we can be content because we know that no matter what it is that we are facing, if we just let God work in us and through us and work all things for our good in His perfect timing that everything is going to be okay. We cannot control anything, but we have a mighty sovereign God that is in complete control, and we can be content knowing that we can do all things through Jesus Christ who gives us strength.

I do have this journal available for purchase on Amazon if you want to go and grab one:

To Purchase women's journal click here To Purchase neutral journal click here

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Lord, please give me the strength to get through today and every day. Thank You for always being here and never leaving me. My hope is in You Jesus and I am content knowing that I can do all things through You who gives me strength. Jesus, it's in Your name that I pray, Amen."

Today's journal questions:

What is happening in my life right now that I can't control?

How can I be content with any circumstance in life?

Based on scripture, where does my strength come from?

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." -John 16:33

So that is it for today's episode. I will be back tomorrow for day 23, so make sure you stay tuned for that.

I love you guys so much.
