Is God Slow in Keeping His Promises to Us? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 50 of 90

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 50 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 40 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 50 Scripture:

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." -2 Peter 3:9

Day 50 Devotional:

"The way that we as humans count time is different from God. Just like in the verse right before the verse above, in 2 Peter 3:8 he says that "With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day." We have to be patient and know that God's timing is perfect. The Lord wants everyone to come to Him, repent, and be saved. He doesn't want anyone to perish. It is our duty as believers of Christ to spread the gospel in hopes that others may be saved and go to heaven also. God will always do what He says He will do but in His timing, not ours."

I do have this journal available for purchase on Amazon if you want to go and grab one:

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for always keeping Your promises. I know that Your timing is not mine and I will put my trust in You always. Your timing is perfect and You are in complete control. In Jesus’ name, Amen."

Today's journal question:

How is God's timing different from ours?

Take some time to journal and reflect

"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day."

-2 Peter 3:8

So that is it for today's episode. I will be back tomorrow for day 51, so make sure you stay tuned for that.

I love you guys so much.

Never forget to choose faith over fear.
