Jesus is the Bread of Life. Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 45 of 90

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 45 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 45 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 45 Scripture:

"Then Jesus declared, 'I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty." -John 6:35

Day 45 Devotional:

"This is what Jesus said to the crowd when they asked Him what miraculous sign He would give them and they said that their forefathers ate the 'bread from heaven' in the desert. Jesus Christ is the true bread from heaven. He came to forgive us and give us eternal life. Jesus satisfies our spiritual hunger and quenches our spiritual thirst. When we are saved and have the Holy Spirit in us then we have the fruit of the Spirit, and when we put our hope in the Lord then we can have Spiritual abundance."

So, let's dive deeper in John chapter 6 and read verse 30-40:

30 So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our forefathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’ 32 Jesus said to them, “ I tell you the truth, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” 34 Sir,” they said, “from now on give us this bread.” 35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”

So, these Jews were wanting Jesus Christ to do these miraculous signs, and they didn't realize the miracle that was in front of them, it was God in flesh, Jesus Christ our LORD and Savior. He is the bread from heaven, He is the one that gives us eternal life and He quenches our spiritual hunger and spiritual thirst. With Jesus we have eternal life in heaven with Him and God the Father and that is the greatest gift, that is the true prize. This world is just our temporary home, our true home is in heaven with Jesus and God the Father. Everyone that truly believes in Jesus and follows Him will have eternal life in heaven. As believers of Jesus Christ, we have the bread of life, Jesus Christ, in us and we have the Holy Spirit within us.

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Jesus thank You for satisfying my spiritual hunger and quenching my spiritual thirst. Thank You for giving me eternal life and spiritual abundance. I will put my trust and hope in You all the days of my life. Jesus, it's in Your name that I pray, Amen."

Today's journal entry is a free write:

Write down whatever comes to your mind.
