We Should not Live on Bread Alone but on Every Word from the Mouth of God. Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 87 of 90

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 87 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 3 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 87 Scripture:

"He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD."

-Deuteronomy 8:3

Day 87 Devotional:

The Lord our God is full of righteousness, goodness, mercy, and love. He disciplines us and humbles us for our own good. It is so important for us to listen to God and obey His commands. We can not live on bread (or food) alone. In order to have a full and abundant life, we have to follow the Lord, study the Bible, pray to Him, and obey His commands. Take some time today to listen to the Lord and reflect on how He has humbled you.

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for humbling me and helping me to see that I cannot live without You and Your instruction in my life. Please continue to lead, guide, and direct me. In Jesus' name, Amen."

What has the Lord done to humble me lately?

Take some time to journal and reflect

"Observe the commands of the LORD your God, walking in his ways and revering him." -Deuteronomy 8:6
