What Are You Afraid Of? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 36 of 90.

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 36 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 54 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 36 Scripture:

"The LORD is my light and my salvation- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life- of whom shall I be afraid?" -Psalm 27:1

Day 36 Devotional:

"When we believe in Jesus and we are saved, then we have nothing to fear because we have the Almighty by our side. This doesn't mean that we automatically will no longer be afraid of things, but we can have hope in knowing that the Lord Jesus has already overcome the world. There is nothing that we can't face and grow through with Jesus by our side. Christ will give us the strength to overcome any obstacle if we ask Him for it."

So this verse is really good to remember whenever you are afraid, anxious, or worried about something. Our LORD Jesus Christ is our light and our salvation and with Him by our side we shouldn't fear anything, there is nothing to be afraid of. Of course, we will have troubles in this world, but Jesus Christ has overcome the world. He says in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." So whenever we are afraid, worried, or anxious, we can remind ourselves and have hope knowing that Jesus Christ has already overcome the world and with Him by our side, we can do all things.

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Lord thank You for giving me strength in times when I feel weak and afraid. I know that there is nothing that I can't overcome with You by my side. Thank You for saving me and for Your unconditional love. Jesus, it's in Your name that I pray, Amen."

Today's journal entry is a free write:

Write down whatever comes to your mind.

"I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears." -Psalm 34:4
