What Should We Devote Ourselves to? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 48 of 90

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 48 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 42 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 48 Scripture:

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." -Acts 2:42

Day 48 Devotional:

"In the verses above this verse in chapter 2 of Acts, Peter told these people to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus and they will receive the Holy Spirit. Then the ones that accepted Peter's message were baptized. Once they repented, were baptized, and received the Holy Spirit, then they devoted themselves to these things that it says in the verse above. When we receive the Holy Spirit and we let Him guide us, we will devote our time to the things that are most important. We know that our true home is in heaven and it's important for us to devote ourselves to having a close relationship with Christ and spreading the gospel to others in hopes that they may be saved also."

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Jesus, thank You for forgiving me and saving me. Thank You for your love and for never leaving my side. I will devote my life to having a relationship with You and spreading the gospel. I love You with my whole heart. Jesus, it's in Your name that I pray, Amen."

Today's journal entry is a free write:

Write down whatever comes to your mind.

"All the believers were together and had everything in common."

-Acts 2:44
