Where is Your FOCUS? Word for 2022 + Expectations

Life is unexpected and we never know what is going to happen, so we have to make sure that we are staying focused and looking toward the prize of eternal life. In today's episode, I go over my word for 2022 and expectations. Also, I want you to write down your word for 2022 and what aspects of your life you want to focus on. Let's dig deep and go further than materialistic or unattainable goals for this year.

First I want to say a quick prayer... I pray that you lift up every single person reading this right now. Please lead, guide, and direct us through every aspect of our lives. Lord, I pray that you be with every person that was affected by the tornadoes that hit my town in Kentucky and also the surrounding counties and towns. I pray that you just wrap your arms around every single person that was affected. I pray for healing, strength, and hope and that this community just continues to show so much love and continues to serve each other the way that they have Lord. I cannot thank you enough for your love, for your protection, and for your righteousness Lord. I love you with every ounce of my being. In Jesus' name, Amen.

So my word for 2022 is FOCUS.

Here are the 3 different aspects that I want to focus on in 2022:

While I am telling you guys these different aspects that I want to focus on,

you can write down the different aspects that you want to focus on with your word.

Your word doesn't have to be focus, it can be whatever you want it to be for 2022. And then just write down the different aspects of your life where you want to see whatever your word is happen in 2022.

1. My faith and my walk with God

Although I did grow in my faith in 2021 I want to continue to focus on my faith.

I want to continue to focus on walking where God leads me and not veering off in the wrong direction or trying to focus on my feelings or my thoughts or me being in control, but just walking with God and moving forward towards what he wants me to do. Not thinking about how I've never done the things that he wants me to do or my fears or my anxiety or anything like that, but just focusing on Him, focusing on my faith in Him, and knowing that everything is going to be okay if I just walk with the Lord and stay close to him.

2. Helping others

Loving others, serving others, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to others, and just being love and light to others. Throughout 2021 I definitely focused on helping others, specifically with this podcast and different things that I'm doing to help others, but I just wanted to put more focus on helping others.

As some of you may know, there were tornadoes that hit a few weeks ago in my town in Kentucky and also surrounding counties. Those tornadoes and that disaster that happened really just shed some light for me that anything can happen at any given moment and tomorrow is not promised. And for me, hearing of the number of people that passed away because of the tornadoes really just hit hard for me and I couldn't stop thinking that I hope that those people were saved by Jesus and I hope those people go to heaven and it really opened up my eyes to know that I have to spread the gospel to as many people as I possibly can, and also just love them, serve them, and help them in any way that I can. And while I'm doing that, I can let my light shine through to them and they can see that God has transformed my heart and transformed my life and I can also spread the gospel to them in hopes that Jesus may save them and they may have eternal life in heaven. So that's something that I really want to focus on is just continuing to help others, serving them, loving them, spreading the gospel, and making sure that everyone I know and come across knows about Jesus and has the opportunity to be saved by him.

3. Letting the Holy Spirit guide me

This is something that I had really been trying to do in 2021, just letting the Holy Spirit guide me, but I really want to focus on it in 2022 because it's so important to let the Holy Spirit guide us. If you've been keeping up with our Bible studies in the Book of Acts, we see where Paul is constantly letting the Holy Spirit guide him and the Holy Spirit has guided him to places that have caused hardships and troubles that he's had to face. And when we let the Holy Spirit guide us, we're not always going to be doing things that we want to do or going places that we want to go.

We will face hardships and there are going to be tough times and it's still so important for us to focus on letting the Holy Spirit guide us no matter what.

So this year I'm really going to focus on not letting myself get in the way,

not letting my doubts or fears get in the way, or trying to take control myself, and having those quiet moments to listen to the Lord, listen to what the Holy Spirit is telling me, and just letting the Holy Spirit guide me no matter what. No matter if it's uncomfortable or I'm afraid to go or do what the Holy Spirit tells me to do.

So those are the three things that I'm really going to be focusing on in 2022 and again if you haven't already, I want you to write down your word for 2022 and then the aspects of your life that you want to focus on or that you want to do whatever your word for 2022 is. So that concludes this episode. Hopefully, you went through and wrote down your word for 2022 and set expectations also. let's make 2022 our best year yet.

I love you guys so much.

Never forget to choose faith over fear.
