Who Can Set Us Free from Our Sins? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 56 of 90

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 56 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 34 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 56 Scripture:

“So if the Son sets you free, You will be free indeed."

-John 8:36

Day 56 Devotional:

"The Son of Man is Jesus Christ. When we are saved and we ask Jesus to come into our hearts, we are no longer slaves of sin, but we are free in Christ. The only way that we can be set free from our sins is through Jesus Christ. This doesn't mean that we will never sin, because we are all humans and we all make mistakes, but when we are saved we no longer have a sinful nature. Jesus died on the cross to forgive us of our sins and He wants everyone to come to repentance and be saved. There are so many people in this world that are slaves to sin and it's our duty as believers of Christ to spread the gospel to them so that they may be set free by Jesus."

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Thank You Jesus for saving me and setting me free. I know that there are a lot of people in this world that are slaves to sin. Please give me the courage to spread the gospel to as many as I can so that they may be set free by You. Jesus, it's in Your name that I pray, Amen."

Today's journal question:

How has Jesus set me free from being a slave to sin?

Take some time to journal and reflect on how Jesus has set you free
