Who is the Righteous Branch? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 68 of 90

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 68 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 22 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 68 Scripture:

"The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will raise up to David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land." -1 Jeremiah 23:5

Day 68 Devotional:

"This is what the Lord said through the Prophet Jeremiah to the people. The righteous Branch is Jesus Christ. Jesus is a descendent of David and He is the King above all Kings. In Matthew chapter 1 it goes over the genealogy of Jesus Christ if you want to read on that. But here in the verse, the Lord is saying that the days are coming when Jesus will reign as King and do what is just and right. All throughout the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John we can read about the life of Jesus and how He is perfect, merciful, gracious, compassionate, and abounding in love. He didn't come to condemn or judge the world, but to save it. Jesus Christ is our King and Savior. He saves all who come to Him, repents, and asks Him to come into their hearts."

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Dear heavenly Father, thank You for raising up the Righteous Branch Jesus Christ as our King and Savior. Thank You for your love, mercy, grace, and compassion. I can't thank You enough for everything that You've done for me, Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Today's journal entry is a free write:

Write down whatever comes to your mind.

"In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The LORD Our Righteousness." -Jeremiah 23:6
