Why Should We Make Every Effort to Enter Through the Narrow Door? Daily Devotionals in "Christ Transforms Me." Day 74 of 90

In today's episode, we will dive into the devotional for day 74 of my journal Christ Transforms Me. This is a 90-day journal filled with daily devotionals, scripture, prayer, and gratitude. I first published this journal in January of 2022 when God had put it on my heart to create this journal. Throughout a year of praying, reflecting, and letting God and the Holy Spirit give me all the words, scriptures, and everything for this journal, I published it in January 2022. So each day for the next 16 days, I will post an episode on here going over this journal.

Day 74 Scripture:

He said to them, "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to." -Luke 13:24

Day 74 Devotional:

"It's so important for us to have a relationship with Christ and to lean on him through every aspect of our lives. When we try to do things on our own and live life the way that we want to it leads to destruction. It's also important to study the Bible and ask God to reveal the truth in our lives. We have to trust in and follow the Lord. There are many false teachers and prophets in this world. It is our duty to discern the truth and live by it. This is why I do what I do. I want to help as many people as I possibly can know about Jesus and the truth of God's words. We can not let this world deceive us. A lot of people will tell you that they are a "good" person but that is not what gets you into heaven. We have to be saved, truly follow Jesus, be a light to others, and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ."

So if you want to grab one of these journals and go along with me each day with the journal physically in your hands, then go ahead and do that. Otherwise, you can just pull up the notes on your phone, or you can get a notebook, loose-leaf paper, or a binder, however you want to do it. I want you to just take a few minutes and write down things that you are thankful for and then also write down some prayer requests.

Today’s Prayer:

"Thank You, Lord, for Your guidance and for showing me the truth. Lord, please continue to show me the truth and give me the strength and courage to always share it with others. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Today's journal questions:

Why is it important to make every effort to enter the narrow door?

Have I been trying to live life the way I want and do my own thing?

Why or why not?

Take some time to pray and journal your thoughts.

"But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!" Luke 13:27
